Bed and breakfast in historic residence close to Paestum

Domus Laeta ("The Happy House") is an historic residence built in 1600. It still belongs to the d'Aulisio family, "Lord of the Manor of Giungano", the town founded by the inhabitants of Paestum. Facing south, Domus Laeta has an enchanting view right down to the sea. This ancient architectural structure still has original stables and mangers, oil-mill, cellars and bread ovens, as well as watch-towers and embrasures along the walls. The ancient water reservoir, located in the garden by the well-spring, has been turned into a swimming pool with hydro massage.
The halls, library, antique furniture and panoramic garden overlooking the Valley of the Temples, make it a small jewel in the National Park of Cilento (under the Superintendence of UNESCO).

Domus Laeta has a touch of antiquity evident in every part of it. The building, one of the most ancient in the village, is next to the main square and the Church. It is three floors high and sits atop a terraced garden with an orchard and vineyard overlooking the valley; a typical Italian country mansion, well equipped to run autonomously. From the outside it appears like a small citadel fortified as past centuries necessitated. The loop-holes built along all sides and the lookout turret at the top show how the inhabitants in the past protected themselves from their enemies.

Charming bed and breakfast in San Felice Circeo

Over the coast of Latium, right 100 kilometre outside Rome, you find San Felice Circeo, a nice sea resort. The promontory of Circeo, the place where the legend says that Ulysses met Circe, is an exclusive place where some stunning villas have been built during the 60s and 70s.

A small place that concentrates enchanting sceneries beautifully framed by marvels of colours, scents and flavours, this is the Circeo. Yet, the best of everything is the warm and attentive hospitality of Marcela and Alessandro, who welcome you to their small paradise at Isola Della Sparviera bed and breakfast, a charming and exclusive relais. It rises in the middle of the flourishing Mediterranean wood of the National Park of Circeo, facing a marvellous panorama ….
The main structure is located on top of Quarto Caldo reef, not too far from the small town's centre. The property extension follows the natural rock declivity, each structure carefully lying besides vegetation and trees, of which some have become the heart of the indoors decoration in a poetical and harmonious style.

All guestrooms are sea front, decorated with valuable fabrics and the best care in every single detail. Each room has its private bathroom and comfort equipment.

The whole surrounding is a fascinating play of changing colours. An immense landscape discloses 365° around the residence. There is Torre Fico Bay to the south, surrounded by the waves of the most beautiful blue sea. The Pontine Islands to the north, gleam as big emeralds of the sea and seem to make the horizon even larger.

A wonderful bed and breakfast in the heart of Chianti, Tuscany

In the territory of Gaiole in Chianti, Badia a Coltibuono (click here to access the website) is the first wine resort in Chianti, opening it's doors to travellers and visitors who want to share a truly unique experience. Here it is possible to encounter the magic of a venue, to observe the slow yet intense rhythm of a 1000 year old abbey and farm and to sleep in history. Guests can rest and relax in the magnificent Italian style garden or, during the summer months, around the large open-air swimming pool. For the rest of the year, Badia a Coltibuono also has an indoor counter current swimming pool, with an annexed Turkish bath.

Badia a Coltibuono has 8 double guest bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom. Three of these are more spacious with views spanning the Valdarno valley and 5 rooms with views over the magnificent renaissance gardens. Each room has it's own unique charm, in décor and style reflecting the elegance of the surroundings.

In addition to the rooms, 2 self catering apartments are available for weekly rentals within the monastery's walls.

For around a century and a half the name and history of the Stucchi Prinetti family has been linked with Badia a Coltibuono. It was in fact in 1846 that one of the family's forbearers, the Florentine banker Guido Giuntini, acquired the beautiful Romanesque structure and the surrounding farms. Thanks to his complete dedication the entire property began to flourish and survived the second world war virtually intact.

A real experience!
