Lucca Tuscany (5)
1. B&B La Corte [Lucca]
Surrounded by the green and the quiet of the countryside, four kilometres away from the medieval walls of Lucca, you will find "La Corte" Bed and Breakfast. It is located in a typical rural building which has completely been renovated, trying to preserve its most characteristic elements, such as the wooden-beam ceilings and the arches, respecting the rustic style of Lucca. Staying here, you will enjoy walking on the green hills surrounding the B&B or going on bike trips up to the town or to the wonderful historical villas in the plain of Lucca, such as Villa Mansi, Villa Reale, Villa Torrigiani and so on.
2. La Romea [Lucca]
La Romea is a typical example of ancient residential buildings, within a lovely late-Fourteenth Century building in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Staying at La Romea means having the opportunity to get to know this splendid area intimately. The young owners Giulio and Gaia will go out of their way to organise (subject to booking) guided visits to Lucca, its magnificent Villas and a trip around well-known wine cellars to taste the delicious local produce. Lovely tours are also available to the other cities of art in this famous region.
3. Lucca in Villa [Lucca]
Just a few metres from the stunning historic city centre of Lucca, in an Art Nouveau style Villa which has been restructured to restore its amazing old features, the "Lucca in Villa" Bed & Breakfast is in the ideal position for visiting the charming city where the composer Giacomo Puccini was born, and for fine tourist trips discovering the surrounding areas, in a region boasting several cultural, natural and food and wine delights.
4. Residence Santa Chiara [Lucca]
Residence Santa Chiara is an ancient bourgeois house dating back to the second half of the 16th century, located in the historical centre of Lucca inside the medieval walls. It faces the charming gardens of Villa Bottini, once residence of Elisa Bonaparte. Here, many cultural and musical events take place in summer offering a pleasant entertainment for everybody. From here, all the main historical attractions of the city, as the Roman amphitheatre, the Giunigi tower, S. Michele square and the central street Fillungo with its numerous shops, are within walking distance. Completely family-run, the Residence Santa Chiara welcomes its guests in an atmosphere with an ancient taste, but offers the most modern comforts.
5. San Frediano B&B [Lucca]
Why not rent a room at San Frediano? It is located right in the old historic city centre of Lucca, just a stone's throw from the very central Via Fillungo and just 50 metres from the Church of San Frediano. This structure, located within a recently restructured Seventh-Century building and still boasting the features of a classic Lucca style home, has warm and welcoming rooms of various sizes, to meet all the needs of guests here. The atmosphere, then, is one of total relaxation, peace and quiet and comfort, with everything you need right beside you.
