1. Castello di Spaltenna [Gaiole in Chianti]
The spectacular and delightful Spaltenna complex, which is surrounded by vineyards and green woods, is right beside a big splendid valley, in the heart of a magnificent region full of castles and strongholds, ancient villages and abbeys. The complex is located in an ancient feudal town made up of the age-old Parish church with a bell tower which goes back to the 11th Century, the nearby fortified Monastery, also from the 11th Century, and a small cluster of hamlets, splendid examples of spontaneous medieval architecture. The complex buildings, full of history and legends, have splendid interiors with architrave ceilings and elegant entrances.
2. La Locanda del Castello [San Giovanni d'Asso]
"La Locanda del Castello " is located in the old part of the small ancient hamlet inside the walls surrounding the castle of S.Giovanni D'Asso, wich dates back to the 1500, built in lime-stone and bricks. Outside the Locanda there's a small square "piazzetta" that brings you back to the attracting Tuscan countryside of the "Crete Senesi ". The owners refined taste is mirrored in the furniture wich decorate La Locanda del Castello, giving a special touch of exclusiveness in an atmosphere wich brings you back to another time.
3. Livernano [Radda in Chianti] - In one sentence, one of the most beautiful places you will ever stay
Livernano is a truly ancient place. It was first inhabited by Etruscans, whose culture reached its high-point in Tuscany over 2500 years ago, around 500BC. The hamlet was later occupied by the Romans, who gave it its name. The hamlet regained new life in 1990, when the complete restoration of the entire estate was begun. Today, Livernano is once again a working farm, producing fine wines, excellent olive oil and honey, vegetables and fruits and … one of the most beautiful places you will ever stay. On 38 acres new vineyards were planted with 9 different grape varieties. In the ancient olive groves, new trees were planted and we now tend close to 1000 tees, all of native Italian varieties. The remaining 130 acres consist of beautiful mature woodland that surrounds the hamlet on all sides.
4. Relais Oroscopo [Sansepolcro]
The "Relais Oroscopo" Hotel is in Tuscany, in the province of Arezzo. It is in the Sansepolcro district, home to Piero della Francesca and Luca Pacioli, just a few kilometres from the rural town of Caprese Michelangelo where the world-famous artist Michelangelo was born. The Hotel was built in an old colonial home from the Nineteenth-Century and has been completely restructured. The locations is extremely peaceful, far away from traffic, and is a great starting point for interesting day trips to places like Arezzo, Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia, Urbino, the Republic of San Marino, La Verna and the Montecasale Hermitage.
5. Relais Poggio Borgoni [San Casciano in Val di Pesa] - A lovely farmhouse in splendid position to discover Tuscany

6. Torre del Guado [Sansepolcro]
In Tuscany, in the Gricignano district, the summer residence of the mighty Piero della Francesca, you will find the Torre del Guado Country House, an ancient and majestic stone country house which has been converted into a splendid country residence. It is on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and from here it is easy to get to the most important cities of art: Florence, Orvieto, Urbino, Siena, Cortona, Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia and Urbino.
7. Villa Il Poggiale [San Casciano in Val di Pesa]
In the heart of the Chianti area, just a few kilometers from Florence there is "Villa Il Poggiale", entirely renovated by its owners with the aim of offering the hospitality and atmosphere of a patrician family country house at affordable prices. Seated under the renaissance "loggia", guests can look out over the classical Italian garden and be enveloped in the fragrance of old roses and flowering shrubs. Either if you are sipping your tea or working on your notebook you can enjoy the Tuscan countryside.
